    Hi everyone,
One of the rare moments I have to make a start on a figure painting project from my small but growing grey army stash. This is a beautiful figure from Romeo models, 'Sapper of Foot Grenadiers of the Guard - 1806/7'.
I couldn't help my self in the preparation stage and re-sculpted the face to my own personal liking, and some other area's I felt needed improving. I did a leg reconstruction to change the right leg position and also match it up with the left leg as it was noticeably thinner.
    Priming starts next.

    Thanks for looking. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Thank you Bob, it certainly is a great figure. I actually haven't started painting the face, that's magicsculpt putty, I re-sculpted the face as I wanted something a little different.
    Regards
    Chris.

No problem's Bob, sorry to confuse things with the painted picture's. I didn't take before photo's prior to changing the face, so used ones from online for comparison.

    Hi Kevin,

Thank you and as I've said previously, hopefully I can do this figure justice as it's darn nice. I'm particularly keen on the Grenadiers uniform in that period 1806/07 campaign. Cheers again.

    Chris.

I think that's the face done, pretty happy with how the sculpting changes have translated with taking a few coats of paint. Obviously other's would have done a much better job in this process.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Excellent work retouching the face. Subtle, but noticably different.
