This is my latest completed piece. It is based on a classical painting, rendered in 1/24 scale down to 1/35 scale. It is a small shadow box, opening about A5.

I substituted another mat frame painted gold to resize the scene. Also added a third light source.

Superb stuff. Modelling at it's finest.
One question, do you paint it any different knowing it'll be a shadow box, or keep the painting the same as you would a conventional figure?

Thanks for yr nice comments.
When I do my shadow boxes, everything is subsumed to the frontal view, sculpting, modelling and painting. I try to reproduce the original colours as it would appear with any planned light source for the scene.
