    Hi to all out there.
I have finally stirred myself to get this fine fellow to a point that I will call it a day.
With the pose that Maurice Corry sculpted here I thought that he should look a little war torn and exhausted (the figure that is not Moz). To achieve this; the face flesh tones were redded up more than I would normally paint and added a barrel water canteen that He had just drained dry.
I must thank Ron Tamburrini for the super wooden base He crafted for me and the people from Name It for one of their great nameplates. It goes without saying that the help and advice from the members at pF has, as always, proved invaluable.
These photographs are not too good but I hope it gives you an idea of what I am aiming for.
    All the very best,
    Keith

Very nicely done Keith, my favourite large scale figure from the past couple of years. It's been well worth following this.
    A very impressive result (y)

    Hi Keith,
Fancy making him a stereotypical "Jock" emptying the grog barrel:rolleyes:;). No offence meant my Northern Brothers.(y)

Mate, I think that is a lovely piece of work and what a fantastic informative SBS with kilt etc. I will certainly review that one in the future. Ron's base and the name plaque certainly compliment your piece very well. Again great work my mate, I love what you have achieved.(y)
As for the photo's............looks like a chimp has taken them.

It's on the back burner at the moment Keith. Not because I've lost interest but the past few months was spent getting stuff painted for the Herzog von Bayern show and now I want to get a couple of complicated pieces prepared for Euro.
Will do a bit here and there and try some new techniques particularly with acrylics.
    Cheers

    Hi Richie.
Good to hear from you Mate.
I always value your view on My stuff. Pleased that you like this one.
Agree with you on the base and name plate, they both work well for me and are both top quality.
Thanks for chimp picture, much appreciated. I'll pin it up in the studio as a reminder to do better.

We hope that all is well with you both

Nice work Keith. I've been following this one quietly and it's nice to see it completed. I find myself increasingly drawn to Victorian Highlanders and work like yours is a true inspiration. Many thanks (y)
