    Hi all!

Post Euro I have been working on several projects and have finally completed this fellow!

Painting started about a year ago with the face and TBH I've moved on quite a bit since I painted it...
However I'm not big on re painting stuff so I've left it...

    All in acrylics!

anyway, onwards and so forth ;)

I also shot this 2 ways.
First with lots of light and a backlit colour.
Second with softer light and no backlighting at all.

I kinda prefer the dark one but love the honesty of hard lighting, it shows every error in horrible detail :)

Please feel free to comment or indeed not!

    :)

    Hi Mark!
    I like the final result.(y)
The Mosin wood is very realistic, which colours you used?
I prefer the black background photos. :)
    Cheers,

    Good morrow, Mark:
Another fine example of your talent. Definitely,
on the "mark" re both approaches to photographing
this very handsome bust. Lots of eye candy here, in
    the harmonious earth tones. Congrats,

Great work as always Mark, I love your skill/talent to represent all the materials realistically, wood, metal, fur, cristal etc. It is pleasure to pay attention to all the details.

Many thanks for the views and comments chaps!
I've had a bleeding cold/virus thing since posting this so sorry for the delay :)

Pedro, the wood was done in white as a base coat then lines and washes of ... Black, Sunny skin tone and Citadel Scorched brown. once i'd done about 3 layers of each ( in that sequence repeated ) I finished by glazing it all with Scorched brown and then added a few shadows with well thinned Vallejo Smoke ... :)

Ken, I'll probably miss Telford but I'm doing the Leeds Crimbo bash for sure :)

    Thanks again everyone :)
