    Stanislav,

That is marvelous!! Like Mike, I too love the cloth patterns. I am overwhelmed with curiosity as to how to paint or draw such a wonderful pattern. Would it be to much to ask if you could give us a few ideas as to how to attempt something like this?

Wonderful painting, congratulations on a very very nice figure!

Thank you friends for your kind words! I am very glad that you like my modest creativity, and I will try to develop my skills and please all of you in the future!
Kevin, in a nutshell, it's hard to describe how to do this, especially for someone who does not know English well. I will show some photos of the process, maybe then it will become a little clearer.
    1. First, do a sketch. S16_6113.jpg 2. Draw more detail all the components of the ornament S16_6115.jpg S16_6116.jpg 3. Finally, we work through all the details of the ornament in various shades to give the volume. S16_6395.jpg S16_6395_01.jpg
Approximately so I work with ornament. Thanks!

FANTASTIC! Not only were you so kind as to explain (with great English) but included the photos that make your process very clear indeed. THANK you!

I have to admit I spent the evening dissecting the pattern and called a friend who has the skill to paint at this level and discussed it with him. Between that conversation and the pictures above, I have a pattern in mind that I will attempt on a figure I am currently painting.

I am curious, about how many hours did it take to paint this pattern, from start of sketch through shades and volume?

Thank you very much for your help Stanislav!

    Incredible :wideyed:!

Its one thing to brush on the pattern, but to add detail and depth to each aspect of the design is mind boggling!

    Many thanks!)
I can not say how many hours it took to ornament painting, but all the work with a figure I've spent about 40 hours.
