Your color selection gives a nice realistic contrast between components Martin. Looking good (y)!

Today I have been involved with the buttons.

Actually - as prescribed - had such a "kittel" has to have four buttons - two on the waistband collar and two on the placket.

In the most diverse reasons already described which was in reality often different and there were only three buttons, the second on the collar often fell off.

Also brass buttons did not meet the requirement - but it gave them ...!

    Here are two examples:

"kittel" with three buttons - buttoned left, with brass buttons ...:

And here a "kittel" also with only three, but regulatory, buttons - but buttoned on the right ...:

    And with these colors...

... I justhave my (brass) buttons painted (the lower button on the button bar is hidden by the vice wrapped greatcoat) ...:

So - after I'm no longer constantly shaken by coughing fits, I'm finally back to painting.

Today I made the chest-/shoulder area of the "kittel" ...:

I've just painted the front of the sleeve - only the high lights are still missing, as you can see in the picture very well ...:

Compared with his sleeve, I have decided to resculpt the wrinkles on the "kittel" at the chest.

Thanks Nap! Now I think, I have to rework it a little. But let's wait, until it is painted and the sleeve too.
