    Martin,

This is coming along really well , the face seems to have all come together , the contrast with the whites should be an interesting version

Is the cap tally going to have any writing on it ?

    Enjoying this SBS

    Looking forward to seeing more

    Thanks Nap!

At the cap there will only be the cockade.

In front of the older version of this cap was the regimental number of the unit "11. B.C." (= 11. East Siberian Rifles Regiment, in Russian "11. Vostochnaya Sibir' strelkovyy polk"/"11. Восточная Сибирь стрелковый полк" like at the time of the Crimean War.

This felt away by writing the regimental numbers on the shoulder boards.

    Cheers

But - I am again not satisfied!

Technically I should have at the front now put a few high lights with pure white, then it would be done - but I like the wrinkles course not really.

The cap is not sculpted wrong, of course not! But these many horizontal creases look kinda not like how I imagine it and I have constantly found myself wanting to paint against modeling.

So I can sculpt a litte...

I will probably again have to sculpt something own...

    Tomorrow.

Now the color comes from the cap back down first.

So - I have taken out "hard" wrinkles again and instead just a couple of very restrained "dents" left over the whole.

So the cap lid looks realistic crushed out ...:

Today, the cap has been re-primed from the spray. That was much faster than the protection of the face beforehand - especially since no tape came on the painted surfaces.

Result: A new nice thin primer and an undamaged face ...:
