My rendition of the Chronos Miniatures Crimean Russian figure. I opted for the helmeted, head, version, although I appreciate on campaign the cap would have been worn. The shako was new to me, I thought this was worn by Militia units during the Crimea War! Still a nice figure to paint with lots of good detail and is a large 54mm; the size is 58mm as per the information on the website

I bought the Elisena Russian Sapper sometime ago from Art Girona http://www.art-girona.com/elisena-miniatures/2246-russian-sapper-crimean-war-1854.html and was thinking of pairing him up with the Chronos cannon http://chronos-miniatures.com/ru/catalog/21/ but that's for a future project.
