A little more progress... The red and yellow braiding and flounders, brass buckles, girdles, cartridge pouch, shoulder belt, worsted plume and the small book in the left hand.

Blowing through this one young man. He looks really nice....love the touches of yellow with the blue and red uniform. Looking forward to seeing him complete.

I agree, a regular trooper would have white epaulettes, braids and flounders, shako furniture and waterfall and the girdle would be blue and red. The shots of yellow, red and silver gave a little element of distraction fron an otherwise simple uniform. I too look forward to the finish on this guy so I can try out the MS on the OTHER project

    Good work Colin,
I really like your treatment of the tunic, the navy and scarlet are not the easiest to paint correctly, you are right on the button Mate.
Looking forward to the finish of this fellow.
    All the best,
    Keith

The box art showed alot of buff and off whites... Didn't catch my imagination so I found out who else was on this campaign and liked the red facings. The other choice was lemon yellow and that didn't do it for me either. The red and blue just comes off as really strong.
