    Hi unknown artist

Lovely result on it ...as If I’d ask ? ....here’s your WIP https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/officer-of-the-24th-anglo-zulu-war.628392/

You should do another bust ...just saying

Not going sure ref the red edging on the dicing but saying that it appears on modern day Scots Guards dicing ( Thanks to Mick Ankim)

    Thanks for solving the question

No red edging on this dicing, I think it's maybe a manufacturing hangover from the tape they use. Sorry, I found a lovely image of this forage cap but I can't seem to upload it!

Cheers Malc ..hope to get really going on this in between hiding Easter Eggs !

Thank you Scotty ...a good point .....I spent a couple of hours looking at originals ...not one has the edging so as you rightly say there will be none
Where did you find that image if possible ?

    Appreciate yr time

    Hi folks

I love finding things like this ... but a nice CDV of a Sgt of 10th Hussars , the photograph method has made the yellow cap lines/cords look black

    Another potential conversion

After failing miserably to upload that picture, I went back to the start of your post and it was there anyway! I am a fool :D

    Hi Folks

Some quick piccys on the dicing .....still lots to do on each square , edges , highs etc ...it’s taking a lot ! .....but should be worth it ....after the headwear is done ...going to paint the 2 ribbons ...to retain my sanity !

    All comments welcome as always

    Happy benchtime

The dicing is looking really good, very neat even before you fiddle with the squares, going to be another cracker.

I think the dicing on the hat is a good contrast to the jacket and hat colour.
    He's coming on a treat

That looks very impressive, and you have a lot of patience to work on each square, but like you have said it will be worth it in the end.

I want to write a witty repartee about you being a tease Kev but I've had a drink and reckon I'd better not, what with you being a moderator and all.

I'd go with infamous rather than famous, you've got to be remembered for nice things to be famous, I doubt that will apply to.me!

Very nice Kev he's coming along a real treat, well worth missing out on the chocolate eggs! The top button will be interesting, all told the droop peaked forage cap is a great conversion.

Thanks Nigel .......put the 2 ribbons on to add a bit of colour with what will be all that blue

Happy to say I have retained my slimline atheletic Figure thanks to the choccy eggs , working on top of forage now .....using your ideas .....it’s was a lot of messing around but I’m glad I’ve done this

Cheers Malc ...as for box art ...racking my head regarding artist ....Rather good one even then ......lol
