Had to take a break from trying how to learn acrylics so I just finished up this great bust from Thunderbird. All painted in oils except for the whites which are acrylics. I went with a much darker color for the flesh to represent time spent in the sun in Africa. Hopefully it turned out ok! Comments and critiques are welcome!

He looks good my man. I like the filthy left palm that is a very nice touch. Dont forget to get the inside of his right sleeve. Overall very nice work on a really cool bust from Thunderbird.

    Well, done,

the reds are well handled, smooth transitions, while the eyes do stand out.

Others have noted the sleeve, I would also retouch the base, a few white spots.

Great effort, looking forward to more of your work!

    Cheers

Thanks guys! I went back and retouched up the inner sleeve and base, I was thinkin about entering this piece at Chicago next month but not sure if it's near good enough. I dont have a lot of practice with busts but this is such a great kit. So well sculpted!
