    Re: First Knight

Ahhh... scruffy, dirty, battle-hardened, and perhaps a little weary. Just the way I like them. Well done!

    Cheers,

Thanks Glen. Thats how I like 'em too lets make 'em look realistic. Anyway I don't think I could paint a parade ground figure if I tried this way covers all the mistakes:D

    Roger,
Well done, and now a red cross on the shield will make him a templar.
    Great work.

Thank you Marc. I was actually taking the easy option. In the Osprey Warrior book Knight Templar 1120-1312 it shows a shield as I've depicted it, "as drawn by the Benedictine monk Matthew Paris in the mid 13th century".
I must admit I thought they had crosses on them but apparantly not all of them did.

Hi Pete, I still haven't ordered that Dragon he wants me to paint but I did think a knight would go nicely with it. A St. George and the dragon vignette kind of thing. Probably one of those ideas that doesn't get past the idea stage.
    Don't worry I haven't abandoned WW1 totally but I fancy a bit of a change.
