This is wonderful. I like everything about it. Sculpting is superb and you can really sense the strain and tension in both man and dog.
The only very slight adjustment I'd suggest is to raise the angle of the joint at the front paws, almost as if the dog was clawing at its opponent.
This would give the paws more 'structure' and would show the heavy rough pads on the paws.
A very small suggestion that is purely personal and in no way takes anything from my favourite release so far for 2019.

    Nice!

If it's a Neopolitan mastiff, does that mean it has to be painted pink, brown and white.....?;)

    Really nice sculpt. Powerful composition!

Just wondering if this dog breed already existed in ancient times...?

I'm sure I gathered somewhere the Romans went into battle with them....

IMO everything, the side plates has no details, the overall size looks small, the back of the neck is not protected at all etc...

But once again is just my opinion

Thanks for your thoughts. I see what you mean but don't know enough about the minutiae of Roman helmets to agree or not!

I so have to say though.

I do get put off a bit when people are not up front about pricing.

A shame as I do fancy this.

Me too. There should be a rule against it IMHO. No price info = thread deleted.
