Well at long last this vignette is complete. As always I will live with it for a few days, contemplating what I may have missed. Something always escapes my eye at the point of completion and I'm sure this is no different. I do want to weather the shield faces a bit more, I can see that already. On to my next project. Enjoy.

Brilliant paint work but I agree the shields and men could stand a little dirtying up, great job though

Thanks everybody! I do have to be careful when I weather these as they are in a hot, dry environment (modern day Turkey - Syrian border area). Lots of dust, no mud. Just realized that when I made the nameplate I forgot to over type the date correctly so a new one is in order. Drat!

Excellent vignette! Where did you get the arrows from? Or did you make them? (I would like some arrows for a figure I'm doing at the moment.)

Yes I think dust is much harder to do than mud (y)

Very nice scene. All the work you put into this definitely shows. I like all of the painting and the design work on the shields is great.

Thanks guys! Not sure if I will be able to make Chicago this year. Last year's trip by myself proved costly after having to take the car to the shop while there. We will see how the wind is blowing when the time arrives.
