    What medium did you use on the metallics? It looks very good!

    printing ink (Ido not know if it is the correct word in english ? encre d'imprimerie in french...) diluted with oil of turpentine to give it the shiny look.
    I use gold ink with burnt umber for the shades and I even add some silver for the brightest highlights
    the shield is of course in "trompe l'oeil style"...
