Rollo, Duke of Normandy

    This is a very nice 1:12th bust by FeR Miniatures. I wanted to do something different to the box images because I didn't like that colour palette but I really struggle doing something coherent and balanced and I ended up painting and repainting many parts. It was also very difficult to achieve a convincing fabric texture for the top cloak so I reckon I just have to keep trying and practicing!

    One thing I really enjoyed doing was the shield drawing. I spent a long time looking for Viking references and patterns and I ended up combining a couple of things and I’m quite happy with the result.

    Anyways, looking forward for your comments and tips!

    Nice version of this bust , you have done a good job on the shield and the sleeve design for sure , possibly push the flesh a bit more
