    Beautifully painted Ron! A really sharp looking, dramatic piece (y)!

    I'm actually a bit surprised that you chose (doesn't take away from what you've done), to paint your base black, given that you normally have access to such lovely wood.

    the reason for the black base is to do with what I have planned for the nameplate when I eventually get around to making one :)
    Also this was a scrap piece of wood with no great markings on it and as the figure it's self is a bit plain I did not want to outshine the model :rolleyes:
    well thats my excuse :) but the next piece I am about halfway through is on a fantastic bit of golden burr oak :D

    Real class Ron.
    Very well done throughout.
    Best points for me;
    The cloak, it's one thing sculpting such a vast amount of drapery but your painting of the beast is a bit special.
    The nag, great sculpt but your knowledge of things equine has really bought this hairy hoofed beauty to life.
    The base is super. I do like these bases that fall away with the ground work. Just looking forward to see what you have in mind for the nameplate?
    Very nicely done Mate, good work.
    All the best,
    Keith

    Ron,
    Very well done and great base. I like the touches of bright colour that bring it alive.
