    Hello all,

    Started a new figure.

Interesting subject, I probably haven't seen more than a half dozen UN subjects in over 40 years in the hobby. Another great figure to watch being created.

I hope I can live up to your expectations…

The shield will be added. Its a 3D printed item from Firma49. The boots are also from Firma49
I posed the figure and did some layout work
Some first progress on the sculpting also.

Nice, I like the seam and the odd bit of puckering of the cloth.

Robert another cracker subject & thanks for pointing our Firma49, look like lots of interesting products.
What are the odds that the wicker shield was available as a 3D print - are these common in Europe?

Keep it coming - look forward to seeing your Blue Helmet come to life.

Thanks Simon. I try to get my observations more strongly in my sculpting. Still a long way to go.

Thanks Mike. The chance to get a shield like that was non-existent… for now. 3D printing is a major game changer. Dutch law enforcement was/is using wicker shields a lot for riot control. The Dutch are pretty riotous sometimes….

Firma49 is a great firm with great products and service.

    Thanks Nigel!

Some progress…basics of the trousers and flak vest done. Next step is the detailing, pockets, etc.

Nice progress, I worked alongside the Dutch Army in the 90's as part of the Multinational Airmobile Division. Interesting times playing Cold War tactics after the fall of the Berlin wall, might have to revisit that!

Hong Kong Police also used wicker shields in the 60s.
