Hi folks .
Following on from the release of the female sniper which I reviewed here
http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/sharpshooter-kelley-from-nuts-planet-trigger-series.77507/
have released a companion to her in the shape of Rifleman Jess , a spotter for the shots of Kelley .
Jess was notified release here on PF
http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/riffleman-jess-of-trigger-from-nutsplanet.77146/
Details of the review piece:
Title: Rifleman Jess
Scale: 75mm (1/24th)
Reference: T75006
Material: Gray Resin
No of pieces: 14
Sculptor: Joo Huem Yoon (3D Techniques)
Box Art: Ki Yeol Yoon
We will split the review into 3 parts the initial view of all the parts , main figure , bases , the remaining ones being looked at in the 2nd.
Packaging is well up to the standard of the previous release of Kelley, in the distinctive blue box with box art on the top and the sides , a very professional job and a good start .
All parts are held together in between foam layers with the smaller pieces being held in small plastic bags.
Parts consist of 2 base pieces (a flooring and a wall) , the main figure , 3 arms , a bag , a automatic weapon , 3 magazines, a strip of 11 fired cases, 2 straps for the bag .
Yes there are 3 arms ...you have a choice of which left one to use , holding either a magazine or a set of binos ( if you use the binos then fit one of the magazines to the weapon.
Prep:
Base pieces...remove casting blocks and fit together
Figure..Plugs to remove from under boots and right knee
Arms...Remove small plugS from each arm and fit to figure
Satchel...Small plug from edge and fit to cut out on figure
Straps...Remove small plugs and fit to satchel and torso
Rifle..Plug to remove from Stock and dry fit to arm
Magazines/Casings...remove and fit as required
All very similar to Kelly and all very easy to do.
Looking at the Base pieces , consisting of 2 pieces a flooring and a back wall, the flooring is sculpted as irregular large slabs with the back being similar to Kelleys but without the window , both pieces are nicely textured allowing those paint effects to shine through , casting is very clean and well defined.

Now to the main resin piece , the Torso , this is sculpted in the same kneeling position as the sniper , with the arms being fitted separately ready to hold the rifle or magazine/binos......as before dry fit before committing.

The 3D sculpting is skillfully carried out and this presents itself well with all the equipment around the right thigh in particular the ammunition, with nice strapping details , buckles re good . Running along the side of his thigh is a machete type knife in a sheath ...with the handle showing ...a wicked weapon in its own right.

The clothing has really nicely worked folds and creases and as expected all in the right places for the position he is in. , the sames goes for the shirt as well as the over jacket , the pocket is well worked slightly open as befits his position .
The head is a bearded male nice facial features but with more definition on the swept back hair than the beard which looks a little soft on the surface.
