    Hello guys!

It's been a while since I posted on here, but after getting back from Chicago, I've been itching to paint. Finally managed to sit down last night and get some paint on a figure I'd primed the night before. I picked SK Miniatures Richard the Lionheart in 75mm. Gorgeous figure, sculpted by Mike Blank, I think there was a good review on here at some point....

So far I've just manged to paint the face, and even then, it's just the highlights and the eyes. Everything is still pretty rough for now, there's a lot of blending work to happen still.

As always, comments are most welcome, good or bad :)

Nice start Alex. It's amazing how a show can fire you up and get the brushes moving again. That and a few beers!

Good to see you painting and posting. Looks like a nice fig... Lots of heraldry on the surcoat :nailbiting: You're a braver man than I, sir.
Mike's right about the show thing... First thing when I got back I organized the bench, ready to rock! BUT... although I'm dying to dig into one of my new figs, I'm determined to finish at least one or two for the half finished pieces first! We'll see...

I'll be following this project with great interest

Jokes on you, it's just a cross on the surcoat, and some lions on the shield...

You mean it's not the quartered blue and red with lions and fleur de lis? That's a shame :(

Nice figure mate. Even in these early pics I like the face. What paint are you using?

    Hi Chris,

Everything is Vallejo - base is beige red, highlighted up with basic skintone.

    Thanks!

Looks good, subtle pale flesh suits a European setting (rather than a sun burnt one doing a crusade...)

    Keep on keeping on!

    Cheers
