I picked up a remarkable book for those interested in imperial Rome. It details every legion and their activities. I see some very useful shield designs too. Highly recommended.

Legions of Rome: The Definitive History of Every Imperial Roman Legion https://www.amazon.com/dp/1250004713/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3AzBEbB6YVE6E

I figured I might as well start a thread about references. Any recommendations that would be useful for figure modeling?
