Hello again guys . Its 3.00 in the morning and one more project has been closed in the showcase.

“Corporal William Ryer of the 5th New York Zouaves before the Gaine’s Mill battle (June 27th 1862)” that was the last for him ….

The 90 mm kit comes from Miniature Alliance , and was on of the most enjoyable kits I have ever painted . Beautiful sculpting and casting , fitting and inspiring , at least for me !

It’s all painted in acrylics. The scenery is totally scratched with putty , and the green devil
(aka lizard) comes from Mantis excellent animal set

I hope you will enjoy it also !

Thanks for looking the many pictures I shot for you

I am so intrigued by your painting style, I hope you don't mind some PM's from me asking questions. The ground work as usual on all of your scenes is fabulous. Many thanks for sharing all of your work.

    Hi Coastas,

Firstly congrats on a splendid figure

I`m nearly completed on my 54mm 5th NY Z from Pegaso

How did you do the red trousers on yours and keep them a vivid red while shading and highlighting ?

Andy hi and thanks for posting .
The red colors were done like that .

Base : Carmine red + Scarlet + Napoleonic green (Andrea)
Lights : Scarlet, Vermillion, Bright Orange
    Shadows: Napoleonic Green + Black

try not to do useless brush strokes as the reds tend to get shiny . use decisive complete strokes in clear lines of shadows and lights and leave every layer to dry more than 15 minutes

    I just hope i helped !

Nice piantwork Costas. Really like the groundwork, and the lizard is a great addition! One thing about this sculpt, no fault of yours of course, but the left hand fingers on this fellow, are far too long. The thumb looks OK, the fingers are strangely long. I find it a little distracting. Well done!

Your production rate doesn't affect the quality. Beautiful job.
