You know how tricky it can be when attaching the little fiddly bits to a figure so you can be sure one bit is properly aligned with another bit before it's time to glue them in place? You're sitting there with a finger on one piece trying to hold it in place while you attempt to position another piece only to remember that third piece that has to be aligned with the first two... and you've run out of fingers? So you glue on the first piece and hope the other pieces will be in proper alignment.

Quick Hold Museum Putty is a product designed to hold fragile and/or valuable items on a shelf during an earthquake. It's a pliable sticky putty that is easily removed leaving no residue.

Simply align the parts using the putty to hold them in position. Then, one piece at a time, remove the putty and glue the piece in place while the putty holds the other pieces in position for you.

You don't need much, a pin-head sized piece is more than enough for most jobs, and one pack is probably a lifetime supply (unless you're a very prolific miniaturist!). It's available at Amazon and Ebay. I haven't checked but it's probably available on other sites as well.
