Just a bit more done to these. The faces and headgear are finished and now moving on to the basecoat for the facings and breeches.

    Thanks Joe.:)

Thanks Mat, it's certainly a very colourful and interesting period of history. All the talk of British grenadiers, drummers and Badgers request for a Culloden figure has set the cogs turning in that direction.

Colin, there are other fusiliers in the range which I have but these two will be based together as Regiment 38. The plan is to paint the others as different regiments, whenever I get around to 'em. As suggested above Culloden is piquing my interest at the moment.

    Daniel, :wacky:

Cheers Marc. I've since put on another layer of blue. While that's drying today I'll deepen the shadows on the red facings and linings of the coats.

Great progress, Roger! I've enjoyed following your threads as you've refined your topic the past few years. I think you have mastered the "German technique" (I made that up, to say, you excel at painting flats ;) )

    Prost!

Nice work on the whites Roger. Do you normally paint as dark an out-line separating the waistcoat and sash from the pants or are you experimenting.:) I do like it though.(y)

It's a bit of an experiment, everything I paint I have to have an experiment with, :D not sure if I should blend it out a bit but it doesn't look quite as stark in real life.
