Thanks Brad. I can see where you're coming from. That is also one of the reasons why I have steamed ahead in the past because you can't properly judge an area until the surroundings are in.

Cheers Steve. I usually start with the face first which is what I did here and then I wanted to try something new on the boots which is why they were next..... impatience.

I know the normal step is to start at the top towards the bottow of the figure, but, in my opinion, always worth painting what you feel you want to paint at the moment, we all have our favorite areas to paint first, nothing wrong with it.

One method is to paint the face first then the clothing from the inside out, as if you were getting dressed, followed by the hat and boots, then the equipment....I've turned that theory right on it's head... face, boot and hat.

First thin layer of blue applied to the coat.
