Hello again,
after a short brake I retutn to scratch. This time it's not a Hellenic theme but a colonial and specifically from the "Taiping rebellion" which took place in China in 1851-1866.
The figure represents an English private from the "Volunteer Corps" at 1860 in Shanghai.
I am another one fun of that period, because I like a lot all these beautiful uniforms and also because I "grown up" with Bill's "Military Modelling Masterclass" unter my pillow.:D

I hope you like it,

PS, the painter of this miniature will be my very good friend "Jimias".

My best regards to all of you, Christos.

Chistara now i see why you are so excited about this one. I like the pose on this one since i saw the armature and now it looks amazing. The base really set this off. Bravo my friend.

PS. You know i ll be more than happy to put some paint on this liitle fellow if you made up your mind about it!

Christos, excellent sculpting and an interesting choice of subject, congrats and looking forward to the painting.

Hi Chris,
finally very good face(fatsoyla] miniatouras it suits absolutely the English subject that you have made as well as the setting is in the atmosphere that you portray!!!

Very nice sculpture. This plate of a Shanghai Volunteer was taken from Osprey Men-At-Arms #275 The Taiping Rebellion 1851-66. ~Gary
