Wearing the uniform of 2 Leib-Husaren-regt.

1:10 scale resin bust by Ulrich Puchala, painted with acrylics. This was quite a challenge for me but I enjoyed every minute of it :)

    Hi Roger,

To be honest its a bit difficult to see all the details in these pics. The skin tones look great, and the silver on black uniform looks very stylish and dramatic.

If you can't see the details it's cos I was going for stylish and dramatic in the photo's. :D

Thanks Tony. To be honest out of the heaps of pics I took these are the best.

As I think I said on your previous post, the flesh tones are very smooth. The uniform is very stylish and dramatic.:D

Oh yes, this is splendid. I remember when people were submitting pix of her. She was a very pretty woman and you have managed to preserve that. Nice job!

    Hussar-Prinzessinnen

I hope Babelfish didn't butcher the German translation too much - Hussar-Prinzessinnen.

I found this photo and immediately thought of Roger's Princess.

Wonder what color the Hussar uniforms are?

I know nothing about the photo's history unfortunately. Got it from a Canadian friend...along with thousands of others. :)

    All the best,
    Dan

Dan, very interesting photo. it's not immediately apparent which regiments uniforms are being worn but perhaps by a process of elimination I might be able to work it out.

Mitsutaka, thank you very much, I'm pleased you like it. :)

First of all, great work on this bust of Prinzessin Viktoria Luise, hope to do the same in oils. As for the photo, these are no princesses but the wives of the officers of the 10 Husaren-regiment, 'Magdeburgisches Husaren-Regiment Nr. 10', dressed up for whatever reason.

    cheers,

    piet

Thank you Piet. Looking forward to seeing your version of this great bust.

I had a feeling they could be wives. Because of the pelmutze banderole and the undress cap (dark crown, light band ) I had eliminated several regiments but was left with regts. 6,8,10,11,14 and 16 witout much hope of getting any further so thanks for clearing up the mystery. :)
The attila would be dark green with yellow braid and the soft cap dark green crown, deep pink band with yellow piping. I assume the photo was taken sometime after 1912 because the ladies are wearing the grey fur pelmutze.
