    hi friends,

i would like to share with you my last job, a mounted portrait of the prince of SALM-KIBURG when he was an AdC of Napoleon.

It's a subject started last year and derivated from an original uniform that's at the Paris Army Museum. The piece is a conversion starting from Eisembach horse, Metal Modeles parts and a lot of putty

Absolutely precious. Fantastic paint and modeling job, I like all the silver embroideries, they are stuning. The black tone of the horse and the nature in the ground. The color of the uniform, at least in the photo seems dark sea green, the red of the pellise is very nice.
Really elegant, a master piece for me. Bravo!

Ibvo - A beautiful piece! I love those French Nap. Hussar Officers. Is this also based on a painting/print or did you arrive a the uniform through viewing the surviving uniform only? Its unusual to see a dolman with 3 rows of buttons mixed with a 5 row pelisse.

How is the horse suspended? I only see one hoof in the ground and it looks too small if the kit is mostly metal?

    Unbelievable work!

    A little historic advice:

His Name was "Salm-Kirburg" (or "Salm-Kyrburg").

Congrats on a very lovely piece of work; and we all know that equestrian
figures are twice as difficult, since the artist has to do both figures. You
have done a beautiful job, as so many have said.

The only comment I could make re your painting of this stunning piece, is that
I would have liked to see some more colour delineation of the mane and tail.
Perhaps just a hint of highlights. But naturally, I am speaking of my own
personal taste and in no way should my comments take away from your
    lovely presentation.

    The rendering of the animal skin/saddle is supremo, Wow-zer . . .

    hi Janne

the horse has a steel pin inside the leg, a pin 1,5mm that pass all long the leg and sort inside the body.
if you pay attention you can see it sorting from the leg
