As I mentioned on Facebook, this is one of my absolute favorite sculpts that you have done Carl. And that is saying something as they are all superlative.

And you know I love the Scottish subjects.

Sometimes you have just to take a first glance at a sculpt and you immediately know who created it. Very nice!
- Anyhow would you mind to explain the pose of this soldier? I am no expert on this period but the rod in his hand would indicate in my eyes some kind of previous action. On the other hand his body language is quite relaxed as I would expect somebody who enjoys a lull in his duties far away from possible dangers.
That said it is a beautiful sculpt in typical style of master Reid

I'm not sure I can explain the pose really. Except to say it's just a moment in time. Maybe a break in the action, or a polishing of his soldiering skills.
But I guess not every time a mechanic picks up a wrench/spanner does tighten a nut etc.

Not much of an explanation I know, but its the best I can do! Lol...

Hi Benni yes it will be cast in resin with a peice of stout wire for the ramrod.We All expect soooo much from Carl but everytime he sculpts he Tops himself and his Art once again....This figure is awesome...many many thanks Carlito buddy Frank is well pleased and is swamped with pre orders...Amazing Talent.
