Good evening and greetings to the forum.
My name is Rafael Garcia, I am Spanish, I am 56 years old and until a couple of years ago I was an active soldier. I've been modeling for more than 40 years but never in figures, that's why after knowing this forum I'm bitten by the bug of leaving both tank and plane hahaha and painting figures.
I hope to learn a lot from you with you.
Thanks again for opening the doors of your house to me.

This forum has a wealth of knowledge and experience that the members are happy to share whenever anyone reaches out.
I've received a lot of help and support from various great people on here, for sure.
It's not all deadly serious either. There's a lot of good banter flies around as well.

Great to have you with us , ( I only do busts ! )....share the PF word , all are very welcome to join ..no matter what's modelled with figures

We have as others have said Spanish modellers here including the ALABARDA club

Do ask anything someone will know...feel free to message me with questions

Lots of different sections to look at including traditional and 3 D sculpting , competitions , WIP's , References , Painting techniques and so much more

There are threads in Welcome Aboard about how to do things including posting pics on PF....

We have a Marketplace where after members have contributed 50+ posts can use to sell , request if anyone has a model to sell etc...You might also pick up some rather good bargains !

We have V Bench for WIP's and also a Completed part ,reference section

There's also Painting techniques where you will find much about Acrylics and Oils

ALL figures are welcome and of course Vignettes & Diorama ( we run friendly competitions if you wish as well , one called FOTM where there are 3 classes to choose in which to enter )

Welcome to the Planet, Rafael! What sort of figure subjects interest you? As far as armor and airplanes go, you won't need to leave them behind. Just add figures! I grew up on Monogram and Revell kits here in the US, so I'm used to having a figure or two with models of tanks and airplanes. Most kits today might not include figures, but we can always add some.

From Alicante (Spain), thank you all very much for your words of welcome, without knowing you I feel as if we were lifelong friends. I paint in 20 mm, what I am most passionate about are the Napoleonic era, I have not yet painted larger scales because I don't feel qualified yet. I would like to present models in contests but to be valued and learn from my mistakes, for that there is still a long way to go.
