Open Book Polish Nobleman 1650 - Stormtrooper Miniatures Ltd review

    Another recent release from Stormtrooper Miniatures Ltd is a Polish Nobleman sculpted by the master sculptor, Mike Good. This 8 part kit is cast in a light gray resin with the box art figure painted by Sang Eon Lee.

    Arriving in a sturdy white cardboard box with the kit placed inside a bubble wrap pouch with the small parts sealed inside 2 small zip-lok bags. A color photograph is attached to the top of the box along with a color guide sheet inside the box.

    The bottom photo above shows the 8 parts laid out for inspection prior to starting the photographic work.

    Above you see various views of the separate cast head. Some casting blocks need to be removed from the underside of the neck as well as the hair on the back of the head.

    Above you see the four sides of the separate cast torso.

    After carefully removing the casting blocks from the bottom of the neck I dry-fitted the head to the torso. Mike has sculpted the neck so that it has to be fit a certain way to be a tight fit.

    Above you see the right and left arm cast separately. Casting blocks will need to be carefully removed.

    Above I am dry-fitting the right and left arm to the torso. A good tight fit is achieved with no filling needed.

    The top photo above shows the feather which attaches to the hat. The bottom two photos show the inside and outside of the sash which attaches at the waist.

    Conclusion:
    Another superb kit from Stormtrooper MIniatures. Well sculpted and cast overall. Some casting blocks need to be removed. Highly recommended.
