    It looks fantastic :)

Great minds think alike, because one of the things I wanted to encourage were signs. I think these add a real human touch to the basework.

Just working on the gas alarm as a shell case, and a scattered daily Sketch or Wipers Times.

Looks great and I love the sign....Be careful with the inclusion of a gas alarm as gas was only used by Germany in a big way for the first time at 2nd Ypres later in '15....I don't think alarms would even have been thought of at Xmas '14. Although inclusion of the Wipers Times might indicate that this will be a later trench than Plugstreet at Christmas. :)

Cheers Colin, I am going for an eclectic mix of 1915-16, it could double as dinner gong.

I could see a good market for 4 or 5 trench pieces put together to produce a nice piece of frontline for the Somme offensive. Oh and is there any plans for the Pilkem Ridge stretcher bearers?

Looks very good and re the gas alarm it could always be hand waved if you wanted as a stand to alarm for anybody that desperate to pick holes in something who commented on it :sneaky:

    Perfect so far.
If I see this, I think I gonna re-read Lynn McDonalds books again. There is somewhere a story in them that confirms this set-up.
To see how narrow the space whas at the Ploegsteert Wood Trenches I include a picture from there in that time.

The scene looks great, but the snow looks rather neat and orderly. The straight lines of snow on the duckboards look too neat and detract from the rest of the scene in my humble opinion. Perhaps if you add some slush puddles and some muddy snow it will help soften thos straight lines and make it llok more natural. The figure looks great and the little details you've added are excellent.

Cheers, Tony, makes sense. Will puddle and add some more snow.
