Hello Planet,
Just finished this one from Alexandros. I had to put up everything else on the bench for this one.
From the moment i saw this release the idea of painting him in half sunset light haunted me.
So gave it my best and here is the result.
Unfortunately my crappy mobile phone camera couldn't get good pictures in a dark backround so this was the best i could get.
Hope you like the result.
Feel free to criticize.

OK, you have got to absolutely find a good camera! It is a pitty to not see clearly what you have achieved. He looks great and the idea of the sunset is brilliant. As with your Bill Sykes figure you made a bold decision to paint light from external sources and you do produce great results! If I may say only one thing (but that maybe the pictures) is that on the picture that you see his left side (019.jpg) it seems that the light in his left leg is cut in almost a vertical line and not curve (at least slightly) on his trousers and sock.

Now, if only you can put him against the Alexandros Francis Drake figure and have the 'Duel at Sunset' but with Pirates! (that's what I thought when I saw these two, and hope to get my hands on doing someday)...

Συγχαρητήρια Δημήτρη, υπέροχο αποτέλεσμα. Όπως λέω και παραπάνω μου φαίνεται οτι στο αριστερό πόδι το φως κόβεται κάπως απότομα, σχεδόν κάθετα...ίσως αν το συνέχιζες λίγο περισσότερο και να σβήνει...αλλά μπορεί να είναι και οι φωτογραφίες...και πάλι μπράβο για την απόφασή σου για εξωτερικά φώτα...

If I look back to all the figures you have done, I think this one is also from that highest level.
It looks great now, but the pictures don't do justice.

Pedro my friend good to hear from you. It has been a long time indeed, but then again so many things changed the last couple of years (some for the worst) that we cannot go on unaffected. Good to see you are up and running .
Dannis you maybe be right about the left foot shadow.
Marc my friend i was the first to look upon the photos and went "wth is taht?" but i guess we have to settle with what we got at this point of history!
