    Hi all,

I want feedbacks to make this finished. I always open to any kinds of critiques, comments, historical accuracy, detailed info about pirates, etc.

I need detailed info and pics of pirate sword and sword case, drapery such as jacket, inner shirt etc too.

If there is anything I would like you to improve it`s the fact that this pirate is missing one arm and both legs - I think that`s overdone - missing one leg or one arm would be ok:D.
Seriously I like your version very much - the facial expression is great.
Don´t know too much about their weapons so I leave it to others to give feedback in this regard.
    All the best!

Great face. The parrot is a bit of a cliche but really nicely sculpted.
I wonder about the axe though - doesn't quite feel right. A pistol or a knife might do better.

    I like it (y)

I agree about the axe though, maybe a pistol tucked into his waistband would be more appropriate :)

Thanks Marc, that's what I wanted to do on pirates, in reality I think they must be dirty and filthy.

    Thanks Andrew,
I noticed that this is 17th century pirate so I need reference for dragoon pistols used in that era, so this is a nice reference.

Hi Kaz, the bust looks great, the axe makes a great change from the usual, and if you want some good visual information a good book to go for is "The illustrated Pirate Diaries". I've just looked it up on amazon so I know it's still available. Another good choice is the Dorling Kindersley Eyewitness Guide "Pirates".
You can judge the size of the pistol by the hammer, it's about the same length as your index finger. I hope this helps.
    Best wishes, Gary.
PS I always was a sucker for Pirate stories.

Thanks Gary, for goo references info. I'm a bit off from sculpting this I want to add pistols I need time to scratch but I want to finish it for sure.

Hey Kaz: Like the other planeteer suggested a pistol,
I think that would add a lot of eye appeal along with a multi-
coloured parrot. I see bright colours with this bust. And
I'll suggest maybe a blunderbuss. Such as the one pictured
below. Have fun and enjoy the journey. You've got a
    great start. Jayhawker

    Hi Kaz

I really like this. The axe is a nice touch, although a pistol tucked into his belt would compliment it further (IMO)
Personally I'd leave the parrot off, but that's me.
