Hello guys this is my latest piece, the classic Pharaoh Tutmosis by EMI sculpted by Laruccia

All painted in acrylics with the exception of flesh that has been overpainted with oil films and some of the golds where Valejo alcohol based super gold has been used

    I hope you like it

    Thanks for your time

Nice work Costas, I do love those alcohol metallics! I think you might want to give consideration to making the lapis elements a little more blue though; any version of French Ultramarine is the ideal paint for this and a glaze would probably do the trick.

The skintone on the face is very dramatic. Almost too dramatic.

    Hi Costas,

Great work on a great kit, interesting method for the metallics but very effective.
I tried to buy this kit a few months ago and had to settle for the Art Girona 54mm Ramses. I'm hoping that this will be one of the EMI re-releases, such colourful subjects to paint.

Great work, my friend! As I told on other forum, I much better prefer your painting in oils. Very good fleshtones.

    Best regards

    Costas,
    very good work.
I think the face may be a little too much in contrast, overall though, the best metallics and skin tones I have seen for an Egyptian.

    Cheers
