Stay these two ones as open:

    5.

It is not Jerome Bonaparte - he was born in 1784 and would have been just 16 years old at the time of the battle that made the owner of the uniform famous.

Here the searched owner is to be seen togehter with Bonaparte...:

(Tip: The General who wore this uniform was a staunch Republican and a real opponent of Napoleon; Napoleon later banished him.
He was - on the Russian side! - severely wounded on August 27, 1813 near Dresden, and died shortly thereafter.)

And this uniform belonged to a very famous Russian general, who never lost a battle during his life!

(Also to this general a tip: There exists a monument that reminds of a special military achievement of him ....:
This monument is NOT in Russia, but in another country. But the site of the monument is - in honor of the wanted general! - until today Russian territory. The smallest exclave in the world.)

Kevin and I have agreed that I will look after this quiz in the future.

    The rules are very simple:
Any of you can ask any question - but it should in any way have something to do with our common hobby.

So it can be about figures, uniforms, weapons, details, history - or all together.

Who has answered the question correctly, then asks the next question, etc.

And now I'm looking forward to the first question from you!

So that this new thread does not fall asleep right away, I ask again another question.

This time it's about infantry sabers that soldiers used to carry with them formerly.

Unfortunately, in the sculpting of figures, these sabers are often just a "stepchild" - usually "something" is sculpted, which looks like a saber.

    But there were many differences!

Here is a selection of infantry sabers from the period between 1796 and 1806 ...:

    -----------------------------------------
    Model A:

    -----------------------------------------
    Model B:

    -----------------------------------------
    Model C:

    ----------------------------------------
    Model D:

    -----------------------------------------
    Model E:

    ----------------------------------------

Each one of the sabers shown comes from Prussia, France, England/Great Britain, Bavaria and Russia.

    But: which one is which?

Great idea but just too niche for me. I'll wait for something more general.
