No dullcoat is also my advice

I always keep all figures in my collection behind glass and UV filters, never exposed directly to sun rays.
This is enough to protect the paint from the environment.

LEss varnish you use, less are the chances that your figure will yellow with time.

    Cheerś´alex

Superb painting Glenn, the shaggy hair on the horse is a nice touch and well handled by you.

I would strongly support Mike's comments regarding sheen and shine.

Thanks Carl and Ken, nice of you guys to voice your appreciation. Thanks Alex, I too have all my figures displayed in cabinets in the basement, mostly because my wife wants them "out of the way". It does have the effect of protecting them from the sun, and our cat as well. Thanks Tony, this figure has the shaggy coat sculpted into it, which presents a different set of challenges. I decided some good old fashioned washes followed by some careful drybrushing would do the trick. And thanks David, colours courtesy of a few google searches for Mongols, horses, equipment and saddlery.
