Hello all PF members and friends. Here I present you my latest work. Light Cavalryman of the 12th Regt. France 1806. A 75mm figure from Pegaso Models and sculpted by Maurizio Bruno. What an excellent piece. A real joy to paint indeed.
So here are the photos...Any comments and critic is always welcome.

    Hi Xenofon,
Your "chef d'escadron" is generally well done. Green and red are a little light, but I don't know if is a fault of the camera light. The nap green was rather dark and the distinctive of the 12th regiment was "cramoisi", a bit deeper red, not bright. A little historic notice, the center of the "Legion d'Honneur" medal was gold, blue surrounded. But this is a minimal particular, for historical maniacs as me, your painting is very nice. ;)

    Xenofon,
I tip my hat for you. What an extremely well and neat painted version of this fantastic sculp from MB. (no i don't get payed for this) :)
Maybe some little change that Marcello brings up, and it is for me a gold on your next competition.
    Great work.

My friends I really thank you for your very encouraging words. Marchello please show me what I need to change so it is more accurate, because I can't understand what's the difference.

Well done Xenofon! I think you have done a very beautifully sculpted figure justice with your paint. I especially like the fine work you did on the silver lace. After seeing yours, I think I may have put too much white on my version. Oh well, live and learn right ;) .

    Hi Xenofon
    Beautiful painting compliments .
On the larger scales you have one march in more.
The red one of the pants is technically good but in truth it would have more to be towards the Cremisi tone.

All the decorations in silver are ottime.Bravo ;)

    Saluti MAB :)

My friends I really thank you for your comments and encouragement. I really enjoyed this piece and tried as always my best.
Pauk the silver lace is a mixture of silver printers ink, ivory black and titanium white... turns to be a grey/silverish color. The shadows where done with ivory black in the main mix.. and highlights with white.. on the highest places I did it with straight white.

    Hi Xenofon,
Here your 12th Chasseurs de ligne à cheval.
However, if you send me your mail address on MP, I'll send you the Rousselot's palette, with all colours used in French Army, so it will be useful for any figure in the future.
    Regards
    MdM
