James, it's great having you and your sculptures back, you did a fantastic job, you really captured General Patton's likeness.

Keep up the good work and please continue to post. ;)

    Cheers
    Roc. :)

James - Marvelous, very detailed sculpting and I think you've captured the likeness spot on!

    Two requests -

Could we see one or maybe two of the portrait photos you used as references?

    What is the scale?

    All the best,
    Dan

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

Dan - I'm attaching some reference photos at the bottom along with some front and profile views of the sculpt. The scale is 1/6.

Rob - The helmet has indeed been very difficult to replicate (actually a helmet liner). I may end up leaving it off, if I can't get it to look correct.

    Great work Jim,

You put alot of character of the Iron eater in that face.
    Great work.

Great sculpting! Jim - you did a fabulous job! It's a great likeness!

And it kinda figures that old "blood and guts" would wimp and wear a helmet liner and not a helmet. [You may infer from my comment that I'm not a fan of Gen. Patton. Neither am I a fan of Monty, Mac or any other general that thinks more about his image and reputation than the lives of his soldiers.]

Hope you can get the liner fixed.

    All the best,
    Dan

Thanks again guys. Joe, I will be giving the helmet more mass in front. He's about 70% right now. Lot of sanding and finish work to be done.

Patton's just about done. Just some clean-up left and details on the helmet.
