    Nice painting Johan, I would like to see how it evolves with the final setting.

    I don't remember if I've already pointed out that (or if you already know it), but a good visual source about the Rome subject is the vroma.org site.

    Through the search engine (http://www.vroma.org/images/image_search.html) you can find a lot of references about any topic, the following is just an example when searching about 'gladiator'.
