So which color do you use for painting lips on male figures

For me it usually depends on the flesh of the surrounding area.
Usually I put a touch of red in the base flesh mixture but not too much as he will look like a girl. The bottom lip catches more light so should be a bit lighter in tone than the top lip.

Oils or acrylics?

I use the basicflesh color with a little touch of red.
