Hey all, I wrote up a reference article on a number of the crusading orders (Templars, Hospitallers, and Teutonic Knights). You can find the whole article here:
    http://figurementors.com/crusading-knights-a-reference-by-david-powell

This was directed towards painters new to this subject. Obviously there is a lot more material on each of the orders than what I could cover in a single article, but hopefully this will give people a good starting point. I cover some of the history for each of these orders and their typical clothing. If you wanted to paint a knight from one of these orders, I hope that this article will provide you with some useful information to start.

    Excellent David!

I am new to this subject, but have taken a big interest in it since painting a couple of Knights, and I watch any documentary on the subject now that comes on tv, so your article is of great interest to me.

Thanks very much for posting it!

    Cheer's,
    Jeff.
