After struggling the last two weeks trying to get going with some of my projects, I realised two days ago why I couldn't seem to get in the zone. My workspace has become to cluttered, and that is a first for me. So I cleaned up both tables, sorted my paint racks, and decided on a quick 'reset' project, to get going again.

I've had this 75mm figure in the stash a while, the totally black palette appeals to me (surprise, surprise), and as a little challenge, I'm going to use only one brush, one of my favourites, a Broken Toad Miniature Series MK III no.2.

Play was stopped when my phone died, and I had to spend a few hours trying to get that sorted. Anyway, a little update.

Overtime and a lack of internet have limited my time both painting, and here, but progress has been made. As this is a quick and fun little project, I decided to add a feature which I expect will split the room, but I feel it fits with the all black palette, and the overall stance of the figure. Not quite finished, I want to tidy up a few things, and the metal works want another wash or two to pop the detail.

I have been rather negligent in photographing some of my projects, this one was finished a fair while ago, but only today I got around to getting the photos done.
A touch rough around the edges, but it did what I wanted, a quick fun project, using a limited palette, and only a No. 2 brush. I very much recommend doing this once in a while.
