Today I was able to finish up a couple of pieces that were in-progress. This one is "Ole Guy" - Mountain Man 1840. It was produced by Ademola 22 miniatures and was 200mm resin.

Carl ~ Jay ~ Mario ~ Thanks for the kind words my friends. I wasn't to sure about doing groundwork with a bust and have only seen one done before but the plinth under the bust screamed for groundwork.

Groundwork for bust figure is good idea and beautiful.
Painting is awesome,too. :)

Regards,

MJ,Kim.

Thanks Kim. I appreciate your kind words, especially from a professional figure painter like yourself.

Thanks Roger. With the old wood planks for a bust plinth It just had to have groundwork. It really felt odd.......doing it this way but I liked the way it turned out.

Hello Guy,

well it shows that mountain men are your favourite subject, all the attention and work that you invested in this piece have produced a great result. And I also like the idea of the groundwork with this bust, a very original idea, but it looks right !
I think with the PiLiPiLi mountain man bust this approach could work too - why not try something with a pine branch for example ? :)
very well done !!

Hello Guy!

Congratulations! Nice paintwork. By the groundwork I'm with Tony, but the basement is beautiful, what kind of wood is that?

Cheers,
Balázs

Thanks guys for the feedback on the bust and its groundwork. I realized that some would like it..........and others would not. I tried to think outside the box a little and with the bust plinth being old planks decided to add groundwork to it. I will say it really felt odd doing groundwork to a base.
