    Great work Calvin!

Red scarf is a nice tuch

Both sculpting and painting make it hard to believe it is a 1:35 figure

I love the figure, but I don't care for the scarf, Taesung has a habit of putting scarfs on his figures,I think this one would have been better without, it will limit the use of the figure.Mrosko

    Hi guys,

thanks for the complimentary response to painting of the figure so far. :)

Chris, I would personally agree with you on the scarf as there are really some cool looking details on the collars of the BDU that were unfortunately covered by the scarf. I believe that Taesung was attempting to visually create a more vibrant subject with this little detail and perhaps give the modeller more painting options. But that's just my opinion anyway though.

Mike, to confirm Arthur's words, yes it is for the box art for an upcoming release from Alpine.

Kenneth, he will not be along. That I can assure!

    cheers,

    Calvin

Here's a picture of the back just in case anyone wants to see how detailed it is. One can fully appreciate the "pain" Taesung went through creating the details for this beauty.

    Hello Calvin!

How was the "honeymoon" in Spain? Hope you enjoyed it!
During transport, your figure broke down in every possible place, but I think I managed to tape it together quite nicely. Well, with the exception of the lost pieces of course...
Just kidding! It is safe and sound in my glass cabinet!

    Wow, great stuff!
Sculpting is beautifull, but so is the painting (and the groundwork, as usual!). Must have been fun to paint another camo-scheme for a change, no?

Maybe, the figure with the crossed legs looks like it could have an even more relaxed look if it would be leaning against someting. Time for a vehicle perhaps?

    Congratulations wth this beautifull work.
    Best wishes!

Man, that's really nice painting. The detail is superb. I can even recognize that they're wearing what we in USAF used to refer to as "air crew" or pilot's "issue" gloves, thicker OD material on one side/lighter weight light grey material on the other. Nice one, Calvin!

I agree about the scarves - I don't care for 'em.

    all the best,
    Dan

    Hi Marijn,

relieved to know that the figure made it to your home in one safe piece.
Spain was great! We will definately make it a point to return again.
The camouflage was much easier to tackle compaired to oak-leaf and peas and hence less pain :)
Yes, second figure on the right will be leaning against the side of an M1 built by Eng Guan from The M Workshop.
Thanks for kind words again and great work on the snake bite (y)

    cheers,

Man i cant get over the detail Alpine puts into those 1/35th scale figures, id love for them to do a few 120mm' moderns, i cant imagine the detail they would be able to cram into that scale. Calvin, the paint job is fantastic. I love these figs....
