    I too think that the tunic should be dark blue instead of red. Also, I think that the belt that retains the lower end of the cuirass should be gold for officers and white for troopers. From your pics it looks to be a brown leather color.

    The life guards/horse guards from around the Regency Period can be very tricky to research.

    Of course it could could just be renamed to be an Officer of the Lifeguards from the same period. as in the painting attached of Captain Alexander McInnes, 2nd Life Guards.

    Maybe, but it's my understanding that the helmet emblems are not the same for each unit. I always a little leary of paintings because some artist use "artistic license". :rolleyes:
