Here's my latest project. It is SK Miniatures Life Guard officer 1672, sculpted by my good friend
Mike Blank. The details are based on a drawing by Charles Stadden, in the book The Life Guards published by Almark way, way back in the day. My version is a little different from the box art Mike
did. Painted in my usual acrylics, and printers ink. I enjoyed painting it, and the chance to put some
gold lace on him, made it even better. Comments are welcome, and thanks for looking

    Best Regards,

    Rod

    Hi Rod,
That's one very debonair figure, as Paul stated very nicely executed.

A cracking job on this. The shading and highlighting on the red and white is superbly done (y)

Very realistic finish on a nice figure I didn't know yet.
Not overly shaded and highlighted and it works very well!

Excellent paintwork on a not so common figure.

Thanks Paul, Richie, Oda, Keith, Del, Adrian, and Marc for your comments, and kind words. It is a very good sculpt, and a time period not seen very much in miniature. Thanks for the comments on the red shading. The pictures are not the greatest in showing the true contrasts in his uniform. Still learning the lighting in the picture taking process. I'm glad you like him.

    Best Regards,

    Rod

Thats a superb figure and painted to a high standard, as you say not a period that features much but a very colourful one.

Very well painted with wonderfully subtle shading throughout.
Digital photography is notorious for hiding detail. The fact that yours is still visible indicates how good it must be on the model.
