It's been a while since my last post . The last few weeks and months I was creating a bust after seeing Avatar the movie . A great SF adventure with great graphics , but a very small story . Cameron has been watching the old cowboy and indian movies very closely . The story about and outstander faling in love with the daughter of the tribe oldest and becoming one of the tribe has been told often . Having said this ,the most important crew of this kind of movies are the FX guys . So I could not resist to create my own version of Neytiri. Yesterday I discovered there was an other PF member who created one .And very accurate indeed. I started with the body using Tamyia yellow putty to create the general lines . I inserted the eyes using 2 small metal balls .I used about every kind of putty there is on the market ;Tamyia , green stuff , milliput , magic sculpt , etc . The grey stuff is a 2 component putty used in modeling . At first I used lead foil to create the details , but I had to redo this using green stuff . Green stuff allows more detail . The most diffucult part was the hair . Sculpting a round volume is not easy.every hairtail is sculpted separately and aded to the head. the scale is 1/10 .The model is gonna be painted by a clubmember . After so much work it's good to step back and give it to someone else .
