    Now, that is very tempting. I haven't painted an Austrian subject for ages.

    I have a photo-etch sheet of oak leaves tucked away somewhere. This will give me an excuse to artfully arrange a spray of oak leaves on the helmet. The last time I tried this I managed to superglue oak leaves to my thumb. Of course!

    Because I am an old fashioned traditionalist, I usually get the metal Chronos editions. But on my last purchase, I bought the resin versions. I was astonished at how good the resin models are. The fineness of the detail and the fit of parts are outstanding. Don't get me wrong, the white metal editions are very good but I think that the resin ones are a cut above.

    CHRONOS does it again. There are so many wonderful uniforms of the various armies of the Napoleonic Wars and CHRONOS is reproducing them in fantastic detail and beauty.

    Thanks very much for posting all the colour pictures. Because they were so brave, the Austrian cuirassiers didn't wear a backplate (didn't need one!).
