That's something a bit different and with a good sense of 'movement' to the piece.

How he stays aboard and aims a bow with a camel running at that speed is impressive!

Gorgeous new release for my all time favorite Alive History Miniatures.

Oda.

I've never ridden a camel and googled "camel racing". There are at least two positional seats to ride on a dromedary. On top of the hump or just behind it. The legs can be straight or bent. Both are obviously suitable seating positions.

The rider in the kit is much further forward though than those riders in the photo. I fancy their chances a lot more! Nice subject for a model though.

I googled jockeys and horse racing. I guess that using a short stirrup and lifting your behind up on bent knees is the best riding position in racing.
